When my brother and I were younger, his favorite number was “5″. I thought he was crazy… Everyone (or so I thought) knew that ‘8′ was the best number. But then again, he liked Han Solo, while I liked Luke Skywalker. There is no accounting for taste, I guess. I have to admit that I was a bit jealous when he counted down to his favorite time one day… “Three, two, one, Five Fifty-Five and Fifty-Five seconds!” he said… Not only all fives, but also exactly five ‘fives’. I did some quick calculations in my mind, but to no avail. There was no way to come up with a time which was made up of all 8’s - much less having it be 8 numbers long. I felt cheated. My favorite number could not reward me twice a day for my loyalty. But then again, having 8 as my favorite number was a reward in itself. ‘8′ is just too cool.
Why this trip down memory lane? Well, tomorrow is going to be one of those crazy times that we all can celebrate. Tomorrow, Wednesday the 5th of April is going to be a super-duper special day. At three seconds past 1:02, the time and date for tomorrow will be:

Isn’t that amazing? Isn’t that the coolest thing ever? It will happen not once, but TWICE tomorrow (am and pm), and then won’t happen again for like a thousand years or something ridiculous like that. Sure, you can celebrate 2:03 in 2007, or switch all the stuff around a bit… but that is like pretending that some yellow thing with white frosting is a cake. Everyone knows cake is chocolate - and everyone knows that this is the BEST TIME AND DATE THINGY-DINGY EVER! (okay - maybe YET). This so beats my brother’s stinky 5:55:55 hands down.
