From the mouth of G.W. Bush…

Published by david under General

“Our military is now investigating a number of possible scenarios, including that the explosives may have been moved before our troops even arrived at the site,”
Bush said, adding:
“A political candidate who jumps to conclusions without knowing the facts is not a person you want as your commander in chief.”

I could not have put it better myself. For once, Bush is right. I do not want him as my commander in chief. I feel a lot better knowing that even he doesn’t want me to vote for him…

Politics…

Published by david under General

A little boy goes to his dad and asks, “What is Politics?” Dad says, “Well son, let me try to explain it this way: I am the head of the family, so call me The President. Your mother is the administrator of the money, so we call her the Government. We are here to take care of your needs, so we will call you the People. The nanny, we will consider her the Working Class. And your baby brother, we will call him the Future. Now think about that and see if it makes sense.”

So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said. Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him. He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper. So the little boy goes to his parent’s room and finds his mother sound asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny’s room. Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed.

The next morning, the little boy says to his father, “Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now.” The father says, “Good, son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about.” The little boy replies, “The President is screwing the Working Class while the Government is sound asleep. The People are being ignored and the Future is in deep shit.”

A question for Gamers and those who love them…

Published by david under General

My first gaming system was an Atari 2600. Some time after that, my family upgraded to an Apple IIe - arguably not a Gaming system, but my brother and I both spent more time playing games on it than using it for school. That is basically where my gaming experience ends. A lot has transpired in the gaming world since I dropped out - and I am totally out of touch. With christmas right around the corner - I find myself thinking it might be time to jump back in to the world of computer based gaming…

So here is my question to you. What is your favorite gaming system, and what are your favorite games? Tell me a bit about the gaming world that I left so long ago - that I might be able to find my way around there once again.
